Job Description
Asset Impact (AI) is an impact-driven climate start-up.
We are seeking a Product Manager to help manage and further develop our unique asset-based climate indicators and analytics products, from engaging with clients to overseeing the technical implementation and release. The Product Manager will work closely with the Chief Product Officer, as well as liaise with AI’s functional teams, including Technology amp; Data, Business Development, Product, Delivery amp; Support, and Marketing amp; Communications.

Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development, maintenance and execution of the product roadmap
- Define business and functional specifications for implementation by Technology amp; Data teams.
- Collect and analyse market requirements via direct engagement with clients and market participants
- Provide strategic and tactical input to the design and development of new products and services that align with AI’s strategy, working with innovation teams to develop AI’s early stage pipeline of products.
- Manage projects through the full product life cycle, including working with data scientists, software engineers and subject matter experts, using appropriate tools and techniques at each stage.
- Prioritise and take ownership of product development upgrades.
- Work with engineers and quality assurance teams to provide product insights and implement new features.
- Collaborate with internal teams to build robust and efficient operational processes that improve and ensure product quality.
Location and conditions
- In-person, Berlin (preferred) or Paris, in a flexible and remote-working environment.
- Full-time position to be filled as soon as possible.
Requirements
Must possess the right to work in the European Union.
Required skills
- Passion for sustainability.
- 4-6 years experience in product management and/or product development, preferably with experience in the ESG, finance, energy-related sectors, or data.
- Experience working in a tech. or data company working with multidisciplinary teams to develop products and services.
- Degree in a relevant field in tech. or in business, finance, sustainability.
- High level of attention to detail, an analytical mind and an ability to solve complex problems is essential, with a desire to learn and ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
- English as a working language.
Preferred skills
- Understanding of major European financial organizations and familiarity with any climate initiatives and tools (e.g. PACTA. PCAF, TCFD, SFDR, SBTi, Net-Zero Alliances).
- Strong understanding of climate change and sustainability issues as they apply to the financial sector.
- Experience working with data in Excel, R, or Python.
- Experience with product management tools, such as Monday, ClickUp, or Azure Dev Ops.
- Fluency in a language other than English (French, Spanish, German).
