Area Manager

Location: Germany U.S. Government Installations
Continuity Global Solutions (CGS) is pursuing a contract with a U.S. federal government agency to provide security at U.S. Army installations throughout Germany. Armed security personnel will provide static installation access control, roving security patrols, intrusion detection system monitoring, pass and badge control, static personal security and other security related functions as required. The armed security personnel will provide protection of U.S. Government installations, materials, property, and personnel.
As part of this effort, CGS is looking for experienced Area Managers. The Area Managers will be responsible for the management and performance of the guard force at one or more U.S. Army garrisons and their associated installations in a specified area/region.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for effectively managing security operations and for Contractor (CGS) performance at one or more U.S. Army garrisons and their associated installations
- Performs direct line management of the Site Managers assigned to the military installation
- Responsible for quality control and for ensuring contract compliance
- Performs accurate and detailed reporting
- Responsible for liaising with the client and with German authorities
Requirements
- Security or law enforcement administration experience in the armed forces, civilian police or commercial security agencies
- The above experience should demonstrate the capability to manage a program of comparable scope and magnitude (multiple guard teams operating simultaneously at different garrisons or installations)
- Leadership experience
- Project/program management experience
- Experience managing armed security personnel
- Expertise in all areas of physical security and access control
- Computer literacy, including the ability to use all common office management tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Experience in basic communications and radio use/procedures
- Secondary education or national diploma
- Minimum eight years of police, military and/or security management experience
- Minimum of five years of work experience at the manager, supervisor or commander levels
- Minimum three years of work experience in Germany
- Intimate knowledge of overseas security environments and familiarity with specific threats in Germany
- Risk management skills, including problem identification, risk management planning, qualitative risk analysis and problem solving
- Professional fluency in both English amp; German
