The Role
We are looking for an experienced leader to ensure our global purchasing and supply chain process for our internal functions such as our global retail and exhibitions. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple other departments across all our venues. This leader will manage an assistant to whom they will delegate tasks and will report to our Stockholm-based CFO. Fotografiska’s Global Supply Chain Director will be responsible for creating the necessary functional strategies and objectives for the global retail supply chain infrastructure by developing the necessary budgets, policies, and procedures. The Global Supply Chain Director will manage artist agreements and royalty reports and collaborate with artists to establish merchandise agreements and keep track of the contracts during the valid period. This Director will also work on the overall e-commerce strategy by building a strategic e-commerce plan, overseeing the creation of high-performing product content, overseeing the brand’s e-commerce website, and maximizing digital shelf performance.

Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Develop, deploy, and implement global purchasing strategy and a variety of sourcing methods
  • Strategize to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of retail operations
  • Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues
  • Implement supplier strategy/shape supplier base
  • Identify and execute total cost reduction opportunities
  • Coordinate deliveries and supply chain logistics
  • Maintain supply chain inventory and records

Logistics

  • Track and report price, delivery, payment terms, supplier quality, claim processes, claim resolution management, and other KPI metrics monthly
  • Ensure effective risk management of the supply base through robust contracts and monitoring of financial and other KPIs
  • Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals
  • Identifies and manages supplier collaboration initiatives (e.g., supplier-owned inventory, forecast management, electronic invoicing, operational process streamlining, etc.)
  • Collaborate with artists to establish merchandise agreements, and keep track of the contracts during the valid period
  • Manage and lead artist agreements and royalty reports
  • Resolve issues that come up (e.g., delays in delivery, accidents)

Leadership

  • Evaluate and report on KPIs
  • Supervise and collaborate with local and global retail teams to create coordinated plans for business growth
  • Improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of retail supply chain operations
  • Delegating tasks accordingly to local retail
  • Capacity to bring new ideas and mobilize teams to improve their practices
  • Effectively manage the indirect and functional relationship

Requirements

  • BS degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, Retail Business or equivalent
  • 7+ years’ experience in leading supply chain planning for multiple business units in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in a fast-paced, e-Commerce business
  • Knowledgeable of the e-commerce space (i.e., marketing strategies, website builders (e.g., Shopify), product development, competitive strategies, consumer research, industry trends, digital sales strategies, and best practices)
  • Proficient knowledge of demand planning and supply planning systems/tools
  • Hold cross-functional teams accountable to Samp;OP process
  • Presentation skills, ability to analyze and present data to various functions within the organization (operations and business)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize deadlines
  • Comfort in navigating Microsoft Office programs
  • Proficiency in English (German or Swedish is a plus)
