We are looking for a Data Engineering Working Student to join ourglobalData team.
You will support the management of our Data Cloud Architecture and enable the execution of our Data Science and Analytics projects. As part of an established team in a highly innovative context, you will play a critical role in the next era of the company through your skills and experience.
As a digital-first company, we offer greater flexibility in working location. Therefore, you can work from our office in Munichorremotely within Germany.What you can expect:

• Manage Data Access and Quality: Ensure smooth data access, transfers, and data quality through cleansing and pre-processing
• Create and Maintain Data Sets: Build and maintain S3 Bucket datasets for analytics and AI
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously improve data feature performance, offering data modeling expertise and best practices for analytics and AI
• Git and Template Management: Maintain GitHub repositories, manage GitHub actions, and update SageMaker templates
• Scale Solutions: Monitor data science projects (Datadog/Sentry/Graylog), and conduct unit, quality, and stress testing for AI APIs
• Document Processes: Document DBT processes and write comprehensive data engineering documentation for knowledge sharing
• Data Quality Monitoring: Implement proactive data quality monitoring, identifying and resolving data issues.

What you need to succeed:

• Bachelor in Computer Science, Data Science, or similar.
• Currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Data Engineering, ML Engineering, or a similar field.
• Advanced SQL Knowledge, including database design and performance optimization
• Python Proficiency, confident in using the language to manipulate, script, and automate tasks
• Strong expertisewithDataCloud Technologies, preferably AWS
• Knowledge of Container Orchestration platforms, preferably Kubernetes
• General understanding of fully managed ML Service, preferably AWS Sagemaker
• Proficiency in using GIT for version control and collaborative development
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Nice-to-haves:

• Other programming languages aredesirable, i.e. Javascript.
• Experience deploying ML Models
• System administrator experience
• Experience with any of the following stack: dbt, Airflow, Terraform, Docker, Sentry, Graylog, Nginx, Metabase, PowerBI
