Your role

As Technical Product Owner amp; Delivery Manager for our Residential Real Estate Products you will create and continuously improve connected devices for the housing industry (Wohnungswirtschaft) which save energy and cost in large residential buildings.

Your responsibilities

Your main responsibility is aligning the requirements for this sector from our B2B industry partner with what is technically feasible and commercially viable (BOM cost, development cost etc.). After you have agreed the specifications and timeline with our partner it is on you to deliver on time and at the right quality. In this role you will have both Engineering Manager responsibility (ie. being responsible for 3-5 engineers) but also overall project management responsibility which will require you to collaborate closely with other Engineering Managers.

In particular you will be responsible for:

  • Understanding and challenging the requirements put forward by our B2B partner (what are the real customer needs)
  • Agreeing, writing and maintaining technical documentation and specifications of our housing market products
  • Managing the delivery of the agree specifications for both the software and hardware of our residential real estate products
  • Coordinating the overarching project management to ensure we are meeting contractual obligations and milestones
  • Negotiating changes to contracts and milestones (scope, date, )
  • Stakeholder management: Structure communication with internal (e.g. Management, Sales, Supply Chain) and external stakeholders (e.g. large customers, technology and business partners) to facilitate transparency and decision making

Requirements

Must Haves

  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience in technical project and/ or engineering management
  • Experienced in the development of electronic hardware products
  • Experienced in conducting difficult negotiations with very senior stakeholders and able to represent tado’s best interests in such settings
  • Very good with numbers and familiar with analyzing data (market/ financial/ customer/)
  • Able to model quantitative business cases in a spreadsheet (eg. Excel) to drive big and small decisions
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and business acumen
  • Experienced in agile methods for planning, testing, and collaboration
  • Able to explain and discuss complex topics in excellent English and German

  • Work experience in PropTech or housing industry, including being familiar with the relevant trends and regulations in this industry
  • You are familiar with the IoT industry's main challenges and trends
