Job Description

As an Account Director Groups for Germany, Switzerland and Austria at Belmond Cologne Office you will drive extraordinary results to bring the legend of Belmond to life.

The role will primarily develop, nurture and convert all Corporate Meeting, Incentive and other Events, including celebrations, enquiries for all the Belmond hotels, Trains and Cruises from both specific Managed Camp;I agencies amp; selected corporate accounts and by prospecting new clients within Germany, Switzerland, Austria and other Eastern European countries.

This role will be remote-based and involve frequent travel including visits to our office in Cologne.

Primary Responsibilities Include

· Promoting the Belmond portfolio within these geographic territories

· Maintaining and growing the financial returns from all market segments from a certain number of assigned European markets.

· Representing Belmond at an industry level and attending Industry tradeshows where necessary

· Achieving and exceeding established revenue targets and strategic objectives aimed at building loyalty to Belmond and grow market share

· Build strong working relationships across the assigned groups sector within Germany, Switzerland and Austria both existing Belmond client base and new customers

Requirements

What You Bring:

· Minimum 4 years’ experience in luxury travel sales (Hospitality, Tour Operator, Travel agency) with a successful track record in MICE and Corp Mtg sales within the German Luxury Travel market.

· Experience of working in a similar role in same market, whether regional position or responsible for multi hotels, cluster etc.

· Good working knowledge and experience of DACH Groups Travel sector (MICE, Special interests, Corp Mtgs, Celebrations)

· Some Operational Experience in the Luxury Hospitality/Travel sector (Front Office, Food amp; Beverage, Retail agencies, MICE agencies, airline/cruise lines) or working for Luxury Brands, a definite bonus.

· Experience with working with other Eastern European countries (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary) an additional benefit.

· Experience of being part of and working within a successful, target driven team.

· Experience of attending, successful trade events or Tradeshows in Germany/Aut/Swi for MICE/Celebrations
