Senior Backend Developer - Renewable Energy Platform (all genders)

As core member of Circadian’s Product Development team, you will play a key role in developing the engine of Circadian’s energy management platform.

What the role involves:

• Build the business logic driving energy savings and resilience and the foundation for upcoming machine learning applications.
• Define, implement, and administer Circadian’s internal and external APIs.
• Optimize system performance and scalability to handle growing demand.
• Identify the company’s ongoing DevOps, security and infrastructure requirements and help meeting them.
• Work closely with both the Frontend and Embedded teams, with your backend empowering Circadian’s multi-platform apps and dedicated IoT hardware.

Requirements

What you bring:

• 5+ years of experience in developing scalable enterprise backends
• Fluent in relevant in relevant languages such as Python, Node.js, Java, Golang
• Extensive experience with building both self-hosted and serverless services (e.g. in AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Experience with managing and optimizing NoSQL document and time-series databases
• Ideally, a track record developing backends for industrial IoT applications involving RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with renewable energy concepts and technologies would be a plus.
• BSc degree in Computer Science or a relevant field
