We small business

We founded Holvi in 2011, in Helsinki. As self-employed people wading through oceans of paperwork, we noticed something funny going on traditional banks were giving us the cold shoulder. Why not help ourselves? We asked. And so, with time and effort (and lots of coffee), we mastered small business finance and Holvi was born.

Right now, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager (Fintech) to join our team in Berlin on a permanent contract. If you want to help us make small business finances a little easier, Holvi is for you.

Our vision is simple: Eliminate the distractions of financial admin and simplify work life, because running a business is hard enough. Small businesses shouldn’t have to worry about spreadsheets and lost receipts.

You’ll work on

As our Business Development Manager (Fintech), you’ll be strengthening Holvi's presence in Germany. Think of yourself as a true Holvi ambassador, networking with potential customers, partners and stakeholders. Your task: to promote Holvi's services, cultivate relationships and build partnerships. This involves your presence at industry meetups, conferences, and networking events, where you'll represent Holvi.

A typical day could see you:

  • Build and deliver compelling sales presentations that tell the Holvi story, showcasing the unique advantages our service offers to potential customers and partners.
  • Attend industry events, meetups, and conferences to actively network and connect with key stakeholders and prospects
  • Gather and share insights from sales interactions about our target customers, their needs, and how Holvi resonates with them
  • Independently execute customer and partnership acquisition strategies to bring on board new customers and partners
  • Identify and pursue potential partnerships to expand our customer base and reach new audiences in Germany, strengthening Holvi's market presence in the fintech landscape
  • Build and maintain genuine relationships with both potential and existing partners that go beyond collaboration and form true partnerships. Work out agreements that benefit everyone involved.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to provide valuable insights on our target groups and their needs

Requirements

This is for you if you:

  • Successfully completed your university degree
  • Have at least 3+ years of working experience in business development, partnerships, or sales preferable in the b2b segment, fintech and/or financial services industry
  • Are comfortable in fast-paced environments with the flexibility to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Are a natural networker and building and nurturing relationships with potential partners and customers comes easy for you
  • Bring exceptional presentation and pitching skills with the ability to represent Holvi effectively
  • Like being on the move as out of office appointments will be an integral part of this role
  • Are fluent in German, both spoken and written, as you’ll engage with German-speaking stakeholders. Equally important is the ability to speak and write English, our main working language

It’s a plus if you have:

  • A solid understanding of the fintech landscape and trends, along with insights into the world of small businesses.
  • Valuable contacts with industry-relevant organisations
  • Experience working in a startup environment

Logistics

  • This is a full-time position with a permanent contract and you’ll be part of our marketing team

  • We offer flexible working hours in a hybrid setup with core office hours between 10:00 and 15:00 German time the rest is up to you
