Service Technician (m/f/d) ADAM Audio GmbH
Location: Berlin
Term: Full-time, permanent
Salary: Depending on professional experience
Your role:
You will be working as part of a team which is responsible for the optimal and efficient turnaround of products through the Berlin Service Centre, whilst making sure we provide a high level of customer service. Careful and accurate repairs, including maintaining exclusive quality standards, such as acoustic and electronic calibrations, are also part of the job, as are administrative skills.
You will also communicate with customers, prepare and send cost estimates and help our worldwide service network serve our global customer base, all while supporting the brand service teams to improve product reliability.
In your role, you will report to the Service Team Lead and interact intensively with the Brand service team, the regional service and support teams, Distributors, Resellers, End Users, Engineering teams, 3rd Party Service Centers, Suppliers and various internal departments.
Your core responsibilities:
- Carrying out repairs (on a module basis, expertise and skills for component level repairs are beneficial)
- Ensuring we keep our commitments to SLAs for Returns, while maintaining a high level of customer service
- Liaising with Production, Engineering and QC in a closed-loop feedback system to improve product reliability
- Providing technical and system training when needed
- Initiating shipments
- Spare part stock management, also in the repair facility
- Continually working to improve our systems and processes
Other responsibilities:
- Working on ad-hoc projects as appointed
- Overseeing the efficient packing and shipping of logistics transfers and customer spare parts orders from the HQ
- Incoming goods inspection of spare parts according to QC standards
- Independent stock management for the repair facility
Your profile:
- You should have experience in the use of IT systems as well as the common MS Office applications
- In accordance with the area of responsibility, your working style is characterised by a high degree of initiative, understanding of details and sustainable responsibility
- German and English language skills, both written and spoken, are indispensable for meeting the requirements of the role
- A background in electrical engineering with an affinity for electroacoustics
Desirable qualities:
- You will have completed professional training in the technical field - ideally in electrical engineering
- In the past, you have been able to successfully implement measures for the sustainable improvement of product quality
- You are used to reviewing processes and, as an interface between production and development, to ensure continuous product improvement
