We’re on the lookout for a talented Product Designer to join one of our core product squads. In collaboration with your product counterpart, you’ll play a crucial role in designing the initial interaction points for our users, ensuring a seamless and intuitive experience. Your mission will be to highlight komoot's value to both newcomers and experienced adventurers, demonstrating how we can empower them to explore the outdoors more frequently and with greater confidence.

Your approach will be user-centered at every turn, dedicated to understanding the diverse needs of our community. You'll leverage data and insights to inform your designs and work closely within a cross-functional squad to bring projects to life. • Own and drive the user experience on one of core product squads.
• You’ll be the go-to designer in a cross-functional squad, working closely with a product manager, developers, copywriters, and the extended design team to provide best-in-class design solutions.
• You’ll oversee the implementation of your work mainly across our web platform. However, our designers support other areas when needed, so iOS and Android experience is also required.
• You’ll iterate on new and existing flows, helping to define A/B tests that look to maximize the impact and value of the squads work.
• You’ll partner with product managers and developers to define problems and goals, map user flows, prototype interactions, and deliver beautiful high fidelity designs.
• Investigate our users' needs through interviews, tests and experiments, using insights and data to inform and validate your design solutions.
• Facilitate squad workshops to ideate and align on concepts, gather feedback or present user insights.
• You’ll work in quick iterations, with a goal to solve problems and bring value to our users quickly, measuring the successes and failures as you go.
• Integrate with the existing design team, working with other designers on improving our design system, working processes and helping us to level up product design at komoot.

Requirements

• Have 3+ years of cross-platform product design experience (Web, Android, iOS) building quality digital products, ideally from an in-house environment.
• Worked across the full end-to-end design process from research and early ideation to delivering high-fidelity concepts and delivering these through to implementation alongside developers.
• Have experience conducting research studies to understand users, validate assumptions and gather insights.
