Our IP engineering teams work from offices spread across Europe, including our first and largest design center in the beautiful city of Brno, Czechia. The Codasip team is also based close to its customers, which means we have dedicated sales and application engineers in the USA, Japan, Korea, and China.

Project

• The project and its extensions aim at improving the exploration capabilities of the existing IP portfolios, both by creating an automation interface to the already robust and extensive Codasip toolchain and further developing the performance comparison tools with an aspiration to be industry-leading.
• The targeted product will benefit Codasip and external partners within the IP development cycle, within a Software and Hardware co-development aware environment. It should also drive an early exploration of the HW configurations suitable for tailored AI/ML computation tasks.
• The long-term goal is to expand, mature, and industrialize the European RISC-V ecosystem through state-of-the-art EDA tooling, ultimately allowing it to compete with existing commercial alternatives.

What would you work on

• Develop and maintain a novel product interfacing with the Codasip Toolchain
• Track company-led innovations and adapt the tooling accordingly
• Develop new approaches to evaluate and compare IP performances
• Collaborate with leading EU vendors and Assist in meeting project and client requirements and deadlines

Employment: Full-time
Experience level: Mid-Senior (Ph.D. or MSc)
Location: Germany (preferably in Munich). Our office in Munich is located not far from the city center, well connected by public transport, e.g. Munich Central Station is right around the corner

Requirements

Following expertise and skills is essential to perform

• Proficiency in Python: Experience in designing and implementing maintainable, performant, and professional code in Python
• Knowledge about the C and C++ language architecture
• Experience in Object-Oriented Programming
• Knowledge of versioning tools (Git -preferred)
• Practical usage of Linux
• Basic knowledge about the compilation tool-chains, including basic assembly code knowledge
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, thinking outside the box.
• Excellent communication skills, pragmatic, proactive, self-motivated, team player.

Good to have:

• Experience in the semiconductors industry and/or industrial research
• Knowledge about the advantages and disadvantages of CPU architectural choices
• Knowledge in the field of EDA related to CPU designing
