What you’ll be doing

Company: Baltic DIA

Location: Hamburg, Germany (on-site)

Overview:
  • Long-term shipyard steel-construction project (planned ~35 years).
  • Hiring fitters/steel workers, welder's assistants and welders (welding-qualified candidates for welder roles).
  • Work includes assembling, setting and aligning steel structures, preparing and grinding parts, positioning/supporting welding, and welding where qualified.

Work pattern:
  • 10-hour working days, including Saturdays and occasional Sundays; rotation possible.
  • Morning shift.
  • On-site work in Hamburg.

Salary: 3000 - 4500 EUR gross (range indicated).

Eligibility:
  • EU passport / right to work in the EU required.

What we’re looking for

  • Must-have:
    Hands-on steel or metal work experience (steel/metal construction, fabrication or shipyard steel work)

  • Technical skills:
    Steel fitting
    Metalwork / metal fabrication
    Assembling and aligning steel structures
    Reading technical drawings
    Cutting and preparing steel parts
    Grinding
    Drilling and bolting
    Measuring and working to tolerances
    Hand and power tools

  • Experience:
    Shipyard / steel construction experience

  • Other:
    Teamwork
    Safety awareness (HSE)
    Welding qualifications/certificates (preferred for welder roles)
