As a Regional Business Development Manager Cellulosic PFP at Hempel, you will be the regional Cellulosic PFP specialist providing specialist passive fire protection advice to customers and internally. You will ensure effective communication of the advice/estimate to the customer and sales team. You will also manage project tracking thereby supporting in ensuring PFP opportunities are won.
Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to:
Providing specialist intumescent advice to the existing and potential customers and to other local sales team members including the sales team and any other Hempel colleagues involved in PFP.
Actively supporting gaining new customers within the region by attending customer visits with the local sales team and developing key account plans for selected high-potential customers.
Being a PFP specialist, supporting the sales team in the interpretation of the fire protection needs, engineering and architectural requirements, e.g. design drawings.
Ensuring value selling of PFP products.
Involving in the large scale PFP construction projects, including the creation and drive of the cross-functional project team towards the project winning.
Submitting project manage tender.
Delivering estimate results to the customer, as well as appropriate members of the sales team to assist with them converting these enquiries to business.
Enabling and delivering effective training and development both for external and internal customers.
Providing detailed input from region on trends, products and legislation into improvement projects, new solutions etc.
Ensuring a proactive approach towards regional market including attendance at trade associations meetings, suitable fire product exhibitions, local fire authorities.
Actively cooperating with other internal functions such as Marketing, Specification Team and R&D to drive the growth of the PFP business in Europe.

Our ideal candidate will come from a global, matrix organization with cross cultural and cross functional experiences and with proven technical experience in PFP business.
You should also have the following qualifications:
A University degree, equivalent technical background or experience in the Industrial Protective Coating market.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar function with one of the major coatings companies, and/or high experience within PFP sales.
High technical knowledge of the PFP topic and industry preferably supported with education within fire or structural design.
The ideal candidate will have a Business Development, Sales Management or Key Account background with customer facing expertise in providing technical and value adding solutions.
Highly developed soft communication skills coupled with emotional intelligence to allow maximum influence over others and the sales process.
Fluency in Microsoft Office platforms and applications including: Word, Excel, Power Point and CRM.
Being a highly organised and structured individual capable of reading reports and developing action plans from the observed data.
Having a highly developed network of stakeholders in the market within the European Region.
Excellent business level in English (other languages are considered as an asset).
