Firewall Security Engineer

We are hiring a Firewall Security Engineer to manage the global operation of network firewalls in the environment of production networks. The main focus is on Indicent and Service Request Management. Sound knowledge of the use and operation of CheckPoint brand firewalls is desired. Furthermore, on-call duties (distributed between USA amp; Germany) are planned. The profile is rounded off by a profound knowledge of the setup of enterprise networks. The duration of employment is limited to 12 months until the team is fully established and operations are stabilized. After that, the plan is to transition the service into a managed service.

Requirements

• Successfully completed technical studies or comparable knowledge from professional experience
• Experience in further development and operation of complex security infrastructures with a focus on firewall, IPS, load balancing and firewall orchestration. In-depth experience with the manufacturers Check Point is advantageous
• Independent and structured way of working, with quick comprehension and high quality and service orientation.
  Willingness to be on call
• Very good English and German language skills, both written and spoken
• Valid work permit for Germany
