THE MISSION
The day-to-day work would be working as IT administrator in our company, both for supporting users and taking care of our IT infrastructure. Besides, this offering is focused on somebody with broad experience in computer networks to help troubleshoot network issues.
More specifically, you will:
- Ensure reliable and secure operations of the office IT environment
- Identify process issues and implement smarter and better support for them
- Organize yourself to solve problems reliably and on time
- Work hands-on to set up new workplaces and network infrastructure
- Take care of our in-house user and account management
- Support our people finding smart and simple ways to solve their IT problems
- Be the friendly face of IT technology towards our people
- Collaborate closely with our office management, HR, and other departments
Requirements
WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU HAVE
Musts:
- Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies
- Configuring and Troubleshooting: Network equipment like switches, routers, firewalls, etc.; Firewall rules including NAT and routing rules; VPN tunnels; VOIP telephony; NAS/SAN network storage
- Ability to use diagnostic tools like packet capture (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.)
- Ability to perform basic configuration of Linux systems
- Configuring and troubleshooting Windows servers and clients
- Active Directory / LDAP
- Ability to effectively collaborate on multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams
- Highly organized and proactive with high attention to detail
- Driven and eager to learn
- Ability to use diagnostic tools like packet capture (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.)
- Passionate about new space, curious and eager to learn
- Driven to deliver and constantly push the boundaries
- Take ownership and accountability for your own actions and mistakes
- Humble and willing to go out of your way to help others
- Can-do attitude and outstanding communication skills
- Fluent English
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with Sophos XG firewalls
- Powershell scripting and/or other programming languages
- Knowledge about virtualized server infrastructure
- Basic German
