Safran is a world leader in aerospace equipment and systems for commercial, regional and business aircraft, as well as helicopters and space applications. We are part of the internationally operating Safran Group. We currently employ 60 people in our office in Wessling, close to Munich. We have consistently prepared our innovative products with the help of our application-based research approach.
In this regard, one of the key areas which could be focused upon is Content load/distribution within the aircraft cabin, which has been a slow and manual process. Multipath TCP along with automation through virtualization of resources inside the aircraft cabin could be one of the ways to improve the process of content load/distribution. In this internship, a testbed will be set up to investigate Multipath TCP with comprehensive documentation. Also, perform a comparative analysis of the achievable throughput.
The objective of this work is to design, build and implement the Multipath TCP testbed consisting of at least 3 Docker/Containerised Inflight Entertainment screens (hereafter called as RDUs) and a test controller. Responsibilities include:
