Founded at Stanford University, Tarsier develops autonomous AI-based solutions focused on enhancing situational awareness. Our AirScout software platform uses artificial intelligence, sensor fusion, and edge computing to detect, classify, and track unwanted drones in protected airspace. Our cutting-edge AirScout technology is utilized by commercial, governments, and military users to increase airspace awareness of rogue drones in and around sensitive locations.
3D designers at Tarsier are developing visual designs using the newest technologies. In the context of synthetic data generation, Tarsier actively conducts research on leveraging the advantages of gaming engine-based rendered environments. The 3D designers work together with international teams to exceed the expectations of our customers.
For our office in Munich or in Nuremberg, we are offering an Internship / Bachelor / Master Thesis (m/f/d) 3D Modeling and Games Design starting as soon as possible:
Responsibilities:
- You experiment with 3D modeling amp; rendering software to design an efficient and convenient framework for synthetic data creation.
- You think out of the box and explore innovative approaches to render highly realistic environments.
- You address key topics such as lighting realism, accurate motion modeling, realistic visual effects, etc.
- You collaborate with team members to increase the degree of automation and enhance the environment modeling, rendering, and synthetic image generation process.
- You do not only get the chance to apply your skills and knowledge in the field of design and 3D modeling, but you also learn much of the job!
Requirements
- You pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, games engineering, graphic design, physics, or any similar area.
- You have a basic knowledge of modeling and rendering realistic 3D environments (e.g., Autodesk Maya, Unity and Unreal Engine) and ideally have some experience with Python.
- You have first experience in dealing with motion graphics amp; visual effects software as Adobe After Effects, Autodesk 3D Max, or Blender.
- You have a problem-solving mindset and enjoy tackling challenges in emerging technologies.
