About Nanogami
Nanogami is building the next generation of Biochips through revolutionary single-molecule placement. Using DNA Origami allows us to develop a system that is significantly better than the status quo in every way imaginable: Firstly, the placement of single molecules becomes easier and more accurate than ever before. Secondly, DNA Origami will make Biochips smart by adding a new array of functionalities to their arsenal. Finally, our technology is easily customizable and mass-producible, which makes it suitable for a wide range of applications. As a result, Nanogami will create a paradigm shift that will not only revolutionize entire industries but change everyday life as we know it among others by making personalized medicine the new standard.

We are looking for a Biotechnologist to produce the DNA raw materials for our DNA Nanostructures and develop new and improved production processes. You will cultivate bacteria and bacteriophages, and harvest their single-stranded DNA. You will also research novel methods of biotechnological ssDNA production and design improved DNA sequences.
What you will do
- Operation of lab-scale bioreactors
- Cultivation of E. coli to high cell density in stirred tank bioreactors
- Cultivation of bacteriophages to high density in stirred tank bioreactors
- Optimization of process parameters in culture flasks and bioreactors
- Downstream processing and analysis of bioreactor products
- Plasmid construction in silico and in lab using molecular cloning methods
Requirements
Skills amp; experience- PhD or equivalent experience
- Experience cultivating E. coli in lab-scale bioreactors
- Experience in high cell density cultivation
- Molecular cloning expertise
- Creative, proactive, and results-oriented
- Fluent in English
- Beneficial: Experience with down stream processes
- Beneficial: Experience with M13 / Filamentous / Lambda phages
- Beneficial: Experience with pilot scale bioreactors
